You’re so tiny and fragile,

I’m losing all my sleep…

But boy when I look at your smile,

Out come my emotions, weep!

You started walking and talking,

The noises that you make,

Please stop all that chewing,

Grow up, oh for God’s sake…

The music, the drums,

The stubborn tantrums..

Let’s go - get ready..

C’mon did you finish that already??

You are a teen, you are mean,

You have no time in between,

I need some time, don’t hush

Slow down why the rush??

Now you’re grown up and gone,

No sight from dusk to dawn,

Oh I wish those times would last,

Why did you grow up so fast?

Now I look in the mirror and I am to blame

I tried to be different but we are all the same 

We pushed to go faster when times were slow

When will we grow Oh when will “WE” grow!
